First things first….. Planning your wedding can be crazy overwhelming, daunting & down right exhausting….
Organisation is everything, from meeting deadlines, decisions to be made & who & who not to invite, every aspect of your day is what this blog aims to help you with.

Where to begin…..
One the engagement phase is over, the drinks have been had, the friends have celebrated this marvelous occasion with you, its time to get to business. WEDDING TIME!

Tip 1.
Begin early.
If you have family members willing to help, engage early, set the budget & prioritize. Weddings can be super expensive, Many couples don’t realize the costs involved and may find that their dream wedding is a bit out of reach, having this plan in order will certainty help you in the long run.

Tip 2.
Get inspired. Get researching.
Get on Pintrest, get on Insta, get on Google, get a sense of the style of wedding you want, whether its a beautifully coloured autumn wedding, or a summer filled, no shoes beach wedding, these are the places to find it. Make sure your partner is involved, their opinion counts, this is a day for the both of you!

Tip 3.
Organisation.
Organisation is key, download “to-do” from the app store, its a Microsoft app where you can create different lists of things you need to do, set bills etc. The more organised you are the smoother things will run, the less stressed you will be & the more fun you will have leading into the event.

Tip 4.
Limit your options.
Don’t have x30 photographers, celebrants, venues that you like, narrow it down to x3. Work with your partner, do the research & make the decision together.

Tip 5.
Select a theme
Again whether its in summer, winter, spring or autumn. Have a theme that matches the time of year, it will be much easier to make design decisions & will make things look cohesive.

Tip 6.
Make the guest list early.
This can be a pretty harrowing process and one that will depend largely on your venue and budget. Sit down with your fiancé and family and create a wish list of guests. Chances are you’ll need to make some cuts. You should also decide whether you’re inviting children and who will be allotted a plus-one.

Tip 7.
Talk to your friends.
Find out where they wed, who they chose & grab ideas. Word of mouth is the most powerful source of advertising. Use it to your advantage & do the research.

Tip 8.
Take time after the wedding.
Don’t rush into your honeymoon. You dont need to? Planning a wedding is expensive, so are holidays….. Imagine saving for both! Hit that reset button after your wedding & plan for that once your head is clear & do it properly.

Tip 9.
Dont get bogged down on tradition.
Wedding have changed dramaticly over the last 20 years,
want a first look? DO IT!
want to wear vans with your puppy walking down the isle with you? DO IT!
This makes for amazing photos & can be a real talking point at your wedding, different is good.

Tip 10.
Say thanks & have fun.
Gratitude goes a long way, let everyone know how grateful you are & most of all….. just enjoy the day, have some wines & dance all night long & boogie. YOU JUST GOT MARRIED!
